Mount Sikunir – The exotic sights that have been given by God in this world

(golden sunrise sikunir)

Mount Sikunir  is one of the mountains surrounding Dieng Plateau with the elevation of 2350 meters above the sea level. It is located at Sembungan Village, Kejajar,  Wonosobo, the highest village of the world. You’re not mountain climber? Don’t worry be happy because this is a right place for non-mountain climber to experience hiking with sunrise at the end. You have to walk on the slope of the mountain where in some spot you have to crawl. But, for an exercise-haters? It will take your breath away :). The weather was very cold , feels like jacket and gloves are not enough to keep the body warm. Don’t forget to take geared-shoes and flashlight when hike Sikunir because the track was very dark without any lighting with many turning points, muddy and many holes on it. You have to walk for about 30 minutes so it is better to go so early in the morning around 3 or 4 am.

The view from the top of the mountain was amazing. When the weather is clear, you will be able to watch a series of multiple peaks that lie in sight, yeah Mount Sindoro, Sumbing, Merbabu, Merapi and Ungaran would be seen from Sikunir. That’s why Sikunir being called GOLDEN SUNRISE because the orange color painted the eastern sky, showing beautiful silhouette of these mountains. The panorama from the top were breathtaking. Don't forget to take a picture from the top of the Sikunir mountain.

A place to visit before you leave this world

Three weeks in wonosobo, my lovely-cold-small town, I felt bored already. As you know, I spent too much time in this town and never felt so much bored before. No, it was not because I didn’t like wonosobo, but I totally have nothing to do. I would have been so much happier if I had something to do like traveling, fishing, planting some flowers and many more. And I realized Oh My, I still have five weeks to spent in wonosobo, what was I supposed to do? Make friends with stones or hibernate until someone kiss me? Not funny. All I wanna said at the time just ,”please wake me up when this holiday ends”

But, I was wrong
.
Absolutely wrong.

Wonosobo is very recommended place to spend your holiday. I highly recommend it to people who likes nature, adventure, mountain, cold temperature, fresh-air, fun, and me. I’m just kidding with my last word. You should come here, adventurer! you only live once, human!
And this is one of many reasons you must come and enjoy wonosobo!

Prau mountain

Imagine a mountain, high and covered by a rug of trees – green. Close your eyes, feel the sunshine touches the top of your head, gives orange shadow upon your closed eyes, warm up your nose your cheeks and kisses your lip softly. The wind whispers around each bend whether you incline or steadily descend.

Take a deep breath, sweet fragrance of grasses and daisy.

Then open your eyes, now the sun shining towards your eyes, helps to see the colours around this mountain. High up green carpeted meadows grow, only mountain hiker can go. Sun breaks trough white fog like a yellow light. The skies so blue covered with soft clouds. Million years old black formation. Lakes come in various shades of blue.

This scenery! The nature is eye-pleasing, it was so awesome you can’t stop taking pictures! But remember, the real one is 100x better than the photos and you have to see it for yourself!

You better think twice if you don’t put prau mountain as your holiday list, a place to visit before you leave this world. =)
